Gathering Place

Tea House & Event Center

The Gathering Place Tea House & Event Center is a beautifully restored structure that was originally built in the 1830's along the National Road (Route 40) located just outside Washington, Pennsylvania in Amwell Township.  The building was purchased by the now owner, Cyndi, in 2017 and underwent a near year long renovation before the Gathering Place opened its doors to the public.  Prior to the renovation and ownership by Cyndi, the building was long known as "Moses Little Tavern" and the building is listed in the National Register of Historic Places.

The two-level building has eight rooms total, four upstairs and four downstairs as well as a full kitchen downstairs and an additional kitchenette upstairs.  During the renovation much of the original charm such as the hardwood flooring, fireplaces and banisters were retained however modern updates include ductless heating and cooling throughout the building.  Off the lower level parlor room there is a new deck, high top tables and beautiful views overlooking the property.  Regardless of the season, The Gathering Place is a venue that can be utilized year round!

The eight rooms have been decorated with antiques curated by the owner and her family to provide a welcoming and intimate environment.  The second floor boasts a "Grandchildren Room" which features smaller, shorter tables as well as a chalkboard and can be utilized for children's parties or for children's entertainment during an event.  Additionally, upstairs, there is a "Christmas Room" that is festive year round!
